NOTICE: RELEASE OF JUDGMENT IN R. V. NUTTALL and R. V. KORODY - December 19, 2018

The Court of Appeal's Reasons for Judgment in R. v. Nuttall (CA42851 and CA43828) and R. v. Korody (CA42850 and CA 43827) will be released and posted on the court's website on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

There will be a lock-up for media representatives prior to the release of the Reasons for Judgment. Those media representatives who would like to attend the lock-up must pre-register and must sign the undertaking linked below. Only media representatives who have pre-registered to attend will be admitted to the lock-up.

To pre-register for the lock-up, please send an email with a scanned and signed copy of your undertaking to MediaLock-Up@courts.gov.bc.ca no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. You are required to bring the signed hard copy to the lock-up, along with your ID.

WELCOMING CEREMONY - THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE G. BRUCE BUTLER

The welcoming ceremony for the Honourable Mr. Justice G. Bruce Butler, previously scheduled for Thursday, 22 November 2018 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 13 March 2019.

COURT OF APPEAL LEGAL COUNSEL COMPETITION

The Court of Appeal for BC has an opening for the part-time position of Legal Counsel in Vancouver. Details about the position and instructions for submitting an application can be found here. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and resume in accordance with the posting instructions. The closing date for the competition is Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

JUDICIAL LAW CLERK PROGRAM RECRUITMENT - 2020 - 2021

Applications will be accepted to the Judicial Law Clerk Program for 2020-2021 starting January 2, 2019. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 18, 2019 at 4:00 pm, with interviews to be scheduled throughout February and March, 2019.
