JUDICIAL RETIREMENT - HONOURABLE JUSTICE J. CHRISTOPHER GRAUER

The Honourable Justice J. Christopher Grauer retired from the Court of Appeal for British Columbia and the Court of Appeal of Yukon on January 8, 2026. Over nearly 18 years writing from the bench, Justice Grauer's clear and precise judgments have become a model for effective decision making. He has been a generous mentor to his judicial colleagues, students, members of the profession, youth and community members. The Court will miss his generous spirit and wishes him and his family the best.

JUDICIAL LAW CLERK PROGRAM RECRUITMENT FOR THE 2027-2028 CLERKSHIP TERM

Applications will be accepted to the Judicial Law Clerk Program for the 2027- 2028 clerkship term starting January 5, 2026. The deadline for applications is Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Video conference interviews with legal counsel will be scheduled in early February and final interviews with judges will be scheduled March 2 to March 4 (Court of Appeal) and March 9 to March 13 (Supreme Court). WELCOMING CEREMONY - THE HONOURABLE JUSTICE BRUNDRETT AND THE HONOURABLE JUSTICE FRANCIS

The Honourable Chief Justice Marchand is pleased to advise that there will be a formal ceremony to welcome the Honourable Justice Michael J. Brundrett and the Honourable Justice Amy D. Francis to the Court of Appeal for British Columbia and the Court of Appeal of Yukon.

The welcoming ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 4:15 p.m. in Courtroom 60 of the Vancouver Law Courts.
