Practice Directive: Expedited Appeals

The Court of Appeal has released a new civil and criminal Practice Directive titled "Expedited Appeals," which is effective immediately. A copy of the new directive may be found here.

MacKenzie, Associate Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia as a Justice of the Court of Appeal. Judicial Law Clerk Program, 2013-2014

Applications are now being accepted to the Judicial Law Clerk Program for 2013-2014. The deadline for applications is January 20, 2012 at 4:00pm, with interviews to be scheduled throughout February and March, 2012. Amendment to Frequently Cited Authorities (Civil & Criminal Practice Note, 21 October 2011)

The Court has recently updated its list of frequently cited authorities.

To reduce the amount of paper filed with the Court, parties are reminded that, where a listed authority is relied upon, the party need only reproduce the headnote and passage in their Book of Authorities.
