JUDICIAL APPOINTMENT

The British Columbia Court of Appeal welcomes the appointment of the Honourable Madam Justice Barbara Fisher, a judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, to the Court of Appeal for British Columbia and the Court of Appeal of Yukon. The appointment is effective immediately. For further information, please see the announcement from the Department of Justice.

NOTICE: RELEASE OF JUDGMENT IN J.P. V. BRITISH COLUMBIA (CHILDREN AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT) - AUGUST 31, 2017

The Court of Appeal's Reasons for Judgment in J.P. v. British Columbia (Children and Family Development) (CA43000; CA43392) will be released and posted on the Court's website on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

There will be a lock-up for media representatives prior to the release of the Reasons for Judgment. Those media representatives who would like to attend the lock-up must pre-register and must sign the undertaking linked below. Only media representatives who have pre-registered to attend will be admitted to the lock-up.

To register for the lock-up, please send an email to MediaLock-Up@courts.gov.bc.ca no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 with a scanned and signed copy of your undertaking.
