JUDICIAL APPOINTMENT
The Supreme Court of British Columbia welcomes the appointment of the Honourable Madam Justice Francesca V. Marzari to Vancouver. For more information about Madam Justice Marzari, please see the news release issued by the Department of Justice Canada. A public welcoming ceremony for Madam Justice Marzari will be held on a date to be scheduled, and information about the welcoming ceremony will be posted on the Court’s website once it is available.

JUDICIAL TRANSFER - THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE LEONARD S. MARCHAND
The Supreme Court of British Columbia announces that the Honourable Mr. Justice Marchand has transferred from Kelowna to Kamloops effective November 24,2017. The transfer of Mr. Justice Marchand to Kamloops fills the judicial vacancy created in Kamloops by the retirement of the Honourable Madam Justice Hyslop on November 4, 2017.

A Welcoming Ceremony for the Honourable Mr. Justice Crossin will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Vancouver Law Courts in Courtroom 55 at 4:15 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend the Welcoming Ceremony.

The Supreme Court of British Columbia announces that the Honourable Mr. Justice Greyell retired from the Supreme Court of British Columbia at Vancouver on November 24, 2017. Mr. Justice Greyell was appointed to the Supreme Court on May 14, 2009.

The Supreme Court of British Columbia announces that the Honourable Madam Justice Hyslop retired from the Supreme Court of British Columbia at Kamloops on November 4, 2017. Madam Justice Hyslop was appointed to the Supreme Court on May 14, 2009.

This event will take place in the Great Hall at the Vancouver Law Courts at 9:30 am. There will be approximately 90 candidates being called to the Bar. The presiding Judge will be The Honourable Mr. Justice Kenneth N. Affleck.

Applications will be accepted to the Judicial Law Clerk Program for 2019-2020 from December 4, 2017 - January 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm PST, with interviews to be starting at the end of January and concluding in early March, 2018.
