Supreme Court Family Duty Counsel

You may be eligible for up to three hours of free legal advice from a Supreme Court family duty counsel lawyer provided by the Legal Services Society of BC. A duty counsel lawyer can give you advice about custody, access, guardianship, and child support, some property issues, tentative settlement agreements and court procedures. Duty counsel can also assist you in chambers if the matter is simple, unopposed, or by consent.

Civil Chambers Duty Counsel

Access Pro Bono BC's pilot project provides pro bono legal assistance and representation at the Vancouver courthouse every Wednesday for low-and modest-income litigants appearing in civil chambers in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal. Appointments with a lawyer can be booked in advance.
