  REVISIONS TO ADMINISTRATIVE NOTICE 6 (VIDEO CONFERENCING)
  
Effective immediately, Administrative Notice 6 (Video Conferencing) has been revised to direct parties and/or their counsel to use Court Service Branch’s Form ADM509 for all video conferencing bookings.		To view Administrative Notice 6, please click here.

  JURY RETURNING NOTIFICATION  SERVICE
  
  The Supreme Court has launched a  new notification service that will alert users when the jury in a trial is  returning to the courtroom. The Jury Returning system allows interested parties  to subscribe to an RSS feed that will provide an email notification when a jury  is returning. The alert will not indicate whether the jury is returning with a  question or a verdict, simply that members of the jury are returning to the  courtroom.

  JUDICIAL RETIREMENT - THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE  ROBERT SEWELL
  
The  Supreme Court of British Columbia  announces that the Honourable Mr. Justice Sewell retired from the Supreme Court of British Columbia at Vancouver on August  13, 2021. Mr. Justice Sewell was appointed to the  Supreme Court on January 22, 2009.

FACE  MASKS REQUIRED IN COURTHOUSES
Effective August 25, 2021, further to an order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), people attending courthouses in British Columbia are required to wear a face mask, including in entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, registries, hallways, stairways, restrooms and elevators. Please see the PHO order for exemptions.
A face mask must be worn in a manner that covers your nose and mouth. If you do not have a face mask, Sheriffs will provide one when you enter the courthouse.
In addition, people are required to wear a face  mask in courtrooms unless the presiding judge, justice, master or registrar  directs otherwise.

  FACE  MASKS REQUIRED - INTERIOR REGION
  Guided  by regional public health restrictions, the Supreme Court requires that  face masks be worn inside all courthouse in the Interior Region, unless the  presiding judge, master or registrar directs otherwise in a courtroom. The following Supreme Court locations are  impacted by this:

  SUPREME COURT CLOSURE - ALL LOCATIONS - SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 
  
All Supreme Court registries throughout the province will be closed on September 30, 2021 in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  For more specific information about court appearances scheduled on September 30, please consult the Scheduling page for the relevant court location.
