BC Court of Appeal civil rules forms

NEW COURT forms, COMPLETION INSTRUCTIONS AND TEMPLATES - EFFECTIVE JULY 18, 2022

The Forms, Completion Instructions and Templates provided below have been updated in accordance with the new Court of Appeal Act and Court of Appeal Rules, effective July 18, 2022. Court users may download and use them to prepare documents, including court orders, that will be filed in the Court of Appeal.

If you are representing yourself in the Court of Appeal, you may wish to use this application to assist in preparing court forms for civil and family matters and Court of Appeal and submitting them electronically.

Pursuant to s. 38(2) and R. 79(5) of the new Act and Rules, the registrar may refuse to accept a document for filing if it does not comply with the prescribed forms and completion instructions.

Completion Instructions

The completion instructions below are effective July 18, 2022. They provide step by step instructions regarding the format and content requirements for different documents prepared in an appeal. There are different completion instructions depending on whether you are filing paper copies at the Registry or e-filing your document. The chart below includes links to both sets of instructions. The templates included in the chart are pre-set to comply with the format requirements described in the completion instructions. Court users are encouraged to use the templates.
